Inspired by Bret Easton Ellis' novel "Glamourama", in which everything is presentation and hype - the body, the sex, the information, the fashion, the product -
this extremely intimate piece was created for the Berlin Festspiele in the grand
House of German Commerce. From the sexual body to the destruction of the body,
all it takes is a smile. The audience sits at a 16 metre-long table on which 3 female
Asian dancers dance out their erotic fantasies. Even that which is close enough to
touch is illusory. The dancers' bodies bear prints of a naked female body by visual
artist Alba D'Urbano, and their glances are diverted by reflective plates; seducing,
arousing and irritating the audience.
