Destruction Song is the first production Kenneth Kvarnström made with his own company after his six-year break from choreography.

Destruction Song is a small scale work for three dancers. Small in scale doesn’t mean that the impact on the audience is lesser. The whole work builds up from the start and keeps going towards the end, where the catharsis comes with the tune of an aqustic guitar and a duett.

The starting point for the team was the black color. Black in different shades, visible in the set design, in the costumes, as well as in the music. According to the choreographer the team is a dreamteam of professionals working in different art fields. Helena Hörstedt is on of the most talked about fashion designers with her own lable in Sweden. Jens Sethzman is a wizard of light- and set design, creating his own magic with dark light on stage. Jukka Rintamäki is a well known musician leaning towards rock and occasionally noice.

Destruction Song leaves very few untouched and it’s a craftmanship of pure choreography.

Destruction Song will be back in the repertoire from November 2010. Different versions will be available for touring.
