Reminiscent of an old Tex Avery cartoon, in which the conductor fights, in vain, to hold the orchestra together, Gauthier's Orchestra of wolves depicts an orchestra's battle with their preening maestro. Choreographed to the first movement of Beethoven's fifth Symphony, Gauthier's closing piece is a humorous, pleasant and well-received piece.
