Beautifully danced to the music of Goran Bregovic, the duet tells the story of a Bosnian woman who finds remembrance and catharsis as she mourns the loss of her husband to war. A quilt made by Bosnian war refugees hangs above the stage, incomplete; two pieces missing. After a tender duet, the dancers complete the quilt. It is an elegant ballet, whose fluid choreography is an unadorned conduit for the emotion inherent in the story. It reminds us that next door, even in relatively pieceful times, are the remains of human lives, which have been left behind the casualities of war.
