In 1961 John Cranko was appointed Artistic Director of the Stuttgart Ballett. At the age of 18, Eric Gauthier started with the company where Cranko‘s spirit still seems to reign supreme, influencing new generation of dancers like by osmosis. Now Gauthier has dedicated his new piece to the legendary choreographer, featuring Cranko‘s star dancer and Gauthier Dance Company Coach Egon Madsen and himself. They are joined live on stage by Cranko‘s pianist Francis Rainey who also composed the music. Together, they enter a process of memory which almost seems to make John Cranko come alive again.
