According to Marco Goecke, “the ingredients of this piece are: a song, a bird, the urgency to fly, the nature that lives and dies, the fragility that is light as a feather. A piece that is in the air, that is a breath. If we could hold a bird in our hand, we would feel its tremor, its desire to escape, its fragility combined with a power that allows us to want to fly as well.” Le Chant du Rossignol bears the signature of the choreographer, with quick movements that disappear into the dark space of the stage.
