Pederneiras created for São Paulo Companhia de Dança this piece - Bachiana
Nº1 – that the dance responds to the inner structure of music. The
choreography divided into three movements, shows the Brazilianness, and
Romanticism passion of our people. For the choreographer "is an abstract
ballet and passionate. The instruments that follow each part of the music
already reflect the gesture itself”, and “this timing between sound and
movement appears to work, which gains particular accents in the body of each
dancer”. In this ballet is possible to recognize the characteristic language
of this great Brazilian choreographer, as well as the nuances of a
particular creation for dancers of a repertory company, in which the
versatility of interpreters brings new accents to the Pederneiras language.
