The choreographer, director and dancer was born in 1983 in Cuba; he studied ballet, folklore and contemporary dance at the Escuela Nacional de Danza. He was a member of Danza Contemporánea de Cuba and then went to Europe, where he danced with amongst others Samir Akika/Unusual Symptoms in Germany and in Belgium with Wim Vandekeybus/Ultima Vez. Iglesias worked with many contemporary choreographers like Carolyn Carson, Mats Ek, Kenneth Kvarnström or Juan Kruz de Garaio Esnaola. Already as a student he began to choreograph and received many prizes in Cuba. He has made work for Danza Contemporánea de Cuba, Danza Abierta and Danza Retazos.
