PRESSESTIMMEN

Antitesi ... musical, gestural and mythical opposites meet and collide. Another piece that comes to life thanks to the skill of the dancers.
Sergio Trombetta, La Stampa - Turin, 20.09.2015

Antitesi (Antithesis) is a journey built on the contrast between baroque music and contemporaneity, between Pergolesi, Scarlatti, Tartini, Giacinto Scelsi and Fausto Romitelli. A journey at high motor temperature, turbulent in the dangerous crossings between bodies in the beating speed of the entries and exits, a dance increasingly propelled to the utmost by an energy that seems to be unstoppable. There are many changes in light and contrast, going from fuchsia to white, from purple to strobe effects. A whirlwind starts from a male solo with fluorescent tubes to then explode into collective alterations and close with a female solo with a bright sphere that heralds the final duet.
Francesca Pedroni – Il Manifesto, 13 June 2015

The work created is truly excellent and goes beyond simple schematizations. The antitheses that the Greek choreographer wishes to evoke regard dance especially, its world, its evolution and its idiosyncrasies in a continuous dialogue between past and present. It is not a clear cut dialogue but a score made up of short memories, subtle ironies, slight ripples that catch the eye in a dense and inexorable dance. The dialogue is all round also because it never departs from what surrounds the dancing body. Therefore, a choreography worthy of an excellent dance company. And Aterballetto is excellent.
Matteo Iemmi, GBOPERA, 9.11.2015

A show with a strong and crude flavour that oscillates between the nostalgic beauty of the past and the agitated, uncertain and violent reality of the present-day.
Carmelo Zapparrata – La Repubblica Bologna – 30 June 2015
