The world as we knew it is at an end. But is there even room for humans in tomorrow's world? Or would it not be time to move humans as the "crown of creation" out of the center of thought? These and other questions about the future of the world are posed by the FARN. collective led by Sandra Hüller and Tom Schneider, which has already successfully toured internationally with its adaptation of "Bilder deiner großen Liebe" (Images of Your Great Love) (after Wolfgang Herrndorf). In the music theater project THE SHAPE OF TROUBLE TO COME, the FARN. collective designs perspectives for a future in which new communities between humans, animals and plants are possible. In the ruins of capitalism, Sandra Hüller and Christoph Müller dream together of a world in which people once again see themselves as part of a larger ecological context. In songs they have written themselves, they sing of future ways of life. They recite texts by Donna Haraway and dance on the remains of the Anthropocene. In moving scenes, powerful images, and with a large-scale musical composition, the FARN. collective conjures an optimistic vision of the future, from which the age of humans seems like a distant memory. The end is the beginning ...
