Mark Borgazzi was born in Ponte dell’Olio (Piacenza, Italy) in 1988 and grew up in Reggio Emilia. His passion for music began as a child and was encouraged and strengthened by his father, the musician Ivano Borgazzi. He studied piano e singing and started composing songs, some of which were also recorded and played during his father’s concerts. He later continued his studies focusing on singing.
He met Federico Bigonzetti at 14. Four years later, he joined him in London, where he had the opportunity of being in contact with many musical genres, as well as cultures and life styles differing from those of his native country. He returned to Italy feeling enriched by this experience.
Although the musical genres that mainly influenced him are soul, blues and jazz, he developed a strong interest in electronic music and in the many genres that originated from it.
He performs in Reggio Emilia and the surrounding area and is part of several groups including Jazzy Dogs, with Federico Bigonzetti, and Duo Soul-Funk, with his father.
He composed (with David Favuzza) and recorded the song "City Lover", included in the Juno Records chart.
