graduated in Digital Media Design, with a major in media theory and radio journalism. Assistant to General Manager at German National Theatre Weimar in 2004, dramaturge there from 2005 to 2007. Here she worked with Rimini Protokoll on the documentary drama Wallensteins Lager (German Theatre Award 2007) and with Polish director Jan Klata on TRANSFER! Since 2007, Dunja Funke lives and works in Berlin as freelance dramaturge. She curated the project X Wohnungen for Hebbel am Ufer Theatre in Berlin in 2008. She continues to collaborate with Rimini Protokoll, and works with choreographer Helena Waldmann (Burka Bondage) and documentary film-maker Bettina Blümner.
